At the moment I am working on a colored pencil drawing I call "Oriental sisters".
The flowers are oriental poppies.
I used to have these in my garden and find them very beautiful.
The drawing are meant to be realistic, but more so an expressive image. Of cause the title implies a further layer to the image.
I reduce layering as much as possible. The flowers will be added zest-it while the background will remain as it is.
It looks stunning already Lene. What support are you using here?
ReplyDeletethank you Sue :)
ReplyDeleteI draw on Hahnemühle Nostalgia, a paper I like very much for colored pencil.
This is looking good already. What patience you have to spend so much time on each petal like that. I am looking forward to seeing the end result.
ReplyDeletethanks a lot Bella. The process with the zest-it does save some time :)
ReplyDeleteLooking great Lene, I love the blue background...beautiful flowers.
ReplyDeletethank you Vic :)
ReplyDeleteit looks more interesting when it's not realistic :)
ReplyDeletethanks Laura, yes sometimes it does, and that concept also allows a more imaginative approach which is nice in between the more realistic pieces :)
