Oriental sisters


At the moment I am working on a colored pencil drawing I call "Oriental sisters".
The flowers are oriental poppies.
I used to have these in my garden and find them very beautiful.

The drawing are meant to be realistic, but more so an expressive image. Of cause the title implies a further layer to the image.

 I reduce layering as much as possible. The flowers will be added zest-it while the background will remain as it is.

    thanks Laura, yes sometimes it does, and that concept also allows a more imaginative approach which is nice in between the more realistic pieces :)
