Savannen ind i stuen...

Bongo - wip

Progress on the Bongo painting. I paint shadows with Burnt Umber first. Many layers, texture and details to come.

Bongo - wip

I really need to get some paintings ready - the Easter exhibition will arrive, and I also want to expand my palette of paintings for future exhibitions. I decdided to paint more animals in my Perfect Stripes serie, but in a smaller size. It is always a nice thing to have different price-options to present to people/exhibition-organizers. This will be 40x60 cm and is a beautiful Bongo Antelope. Acrylic on canvas. So far the outlines drawn with a few grid-guidelines :)

Southern ground hornbill - wip

I admit, I am facinated with the amazing hornbill birds.
I did a serie (Colorbirds) in loose watercolors including some of the speices.

Now I started out with a graphite drawing of a Southern Ground hornbill. A large african bird.

I have a lot af exciting textures to render from very black feathers to the tough enormous beak.

Oh my tiger - he is now finished, and looking at you from his canvas. We've been through wrestling to sheer flow-time together. He is my 4. painting in the Perfect Stripes serie. He will be exhibited first time in september and I will not see him in 4 month then - and who knows, if he leaves forever ? I'll enjoy him for now.

Tiger - perfect stripes serie - wip

After a little break from my tiger painting I am back at it 😉 I am tired of shots of me in this old tee, but it is my painting clothes so have to live with it :)

Perfect Stripes - its a tiger

I am currently painting a new acrylicpainting in the Perfect Stripes serie. This time it's a tiger.

The winner of my Giveaway in december 18., wanted to see a tigerdrawing or - painting, so that task will be solved along with the expansion of a serie.

I am always making such a mess, when I paint with acrylics. I can't understand when I see a picture of painters wearing fine clothes while painting :0  - so you will excuse this awfull apron I wear ;)

Two of a kind - jaguars

Wild cats are among the most beautiful and wonderful animals of the wilderness. Here I painted the jaguar in 2 furcolors, spots and black. I call it "Two of a kind", and I love the intense gaze they have. The drawing is from 2008, you can see drawing-steps here: http://lenedaugaard.blogspot.com/2008/01/two-of-kind.html #feline #wildlife#cats #society6artist #redbubbleartist #colorfulwalls

Pelican in your bag ?

Perfect Stripes - Zebra 2

ENG:

I have been drawing and painting several zebras.
I find them both sweet and beautiful. They look like sweet, small horses and their pretty striped fur, are among the most beautiful in the animal kingdom, I think.

Here is my latest zebra, it is Zebra no 2 in the serie Perfect Stripes.
The serie isn't only about zebras, so far also an oryx is painted. The next animal in the serie, will also be another speices than zebra.

I enjoy the zebra on my livingroom wall, before it is off for exhibition - it will be framed though.
