Magnolia - wip
More colors, here a detail from the largest flower and leaves.
I just love the way the watercolors runs to a line defining shapes, but you cannot always depend on that to happen.
I erase many of my graphite-lines, but actually I also love those. You can see such lines on the sections below from the current drawing and from the Tucan from Color Bird serie. For some artworks I want to keep them, as fine and crisp they look, but also because I consider myself first and foremost an illustrator/drawing person compared to a painting person.

Magnolia - wip
I have transferred my thumbnail to watercolorpaper, using a couple of helping lines. I made a few changes in the drawing, and have started painting. Mainly using transparent watercolors and basically using a warm and cold color of each primary hue.

Magnolia thumbnail - wip
I am working with thumbnail drawings for my next piece.
I draw freehand from photos, combining several shots. I like the fresh, spontanous lines that thumbnails have. Its nice and crisp too. I hope to keep this freshness when doing the larger scale drawing. I will use pencil and watercolors.
Kingdom of dragonflies - finished
I finished my colored pencil of dragonfly and waterlilly. The title is "Kingdom of dragonflies". A bold and lush drawing with details to be found among plants and insects.
I like the kind of feminine and pretty look of this drawing
Dragonfly and waterlilly - wip
