Companion souls 3 -wip
I couldn't wait to put some watercolors over graphite - and also, if it did not work, I would only ruin a lesser part of the work :)
It works okay. The paper is HP, so the watercolors dries faster than the NOT, I am more used to. The HP gives a beautiful look but hard edges have to be worked of if not intended, and the wc will more easily create unwanted "patterns".
I wasn't quite sure what color her hair should be, but if find this silvery look just right. I added the tatoo and earrings. In my thumb sketch I have a tree-trunk on the left side, but I am not sure I'll keep it.... so what to put there. I think I will prefer something decorative/ornamental... Ideas are welcome, if you have any :)
The size is A4, but even this smaller size and 300 gsm paper, it bulges a bit. I properly have to press it later...

Shading ! I am actually not sure how much to develop this, the watercolorlayers in mind, but will see :)
Companion souls - wip
I have started on this image, (working?) title is "Companion souls" - there is an owl just next to the woman.
I will experiment with grisaille, drawing with graphite and paint with watercolors on top of that. I am curious to see, if that will work out fine. Being more a person who draw than paint, that will suit me fine :)
The motif of the woman and owl (and a treetrunk) are developed from my desire to draw beyond realism. The drawing will be realistic, but with a sense of "ethereal"-feeling. I hope.
Karelian beardog
I have a soft spot for spitzdogs. I find this karelian beardog one of the most beautiful dogs with its black and white fur, and strong appearance. If you like spitzdogs and karelians this pillow - along with other items like a t-shirt, might be something for you http://society6.com/doggyshop
Winter moon
Winter moon" - finished. I find that I have captured the mood I wanted; the 2 lynx' playing under the moon, in a cold, but yet friendly, snowy landscape. I think it looks like an illustration for a childrens book or a fable.
I had to find a way to draw "not too realistic", quite a challenge for me
It doesn't show up very well, but most of the snowy hills have a light blue color and dots added for interest. The foreground and some of the left hill are left with no coloring.

Winter moon - illustration
I have started a new imaginative, illustrative drawing. With illustrative I want it to contain a story, even not defined. I have long wanted to draw more imaginative-influenced, not fantasy, but story-telling images, such a. illustrating a fable, a fairy tale, a children's book.
The drawing shows 2 lynx´ running and jumping in a winter landscape at night.
Jeg er begyndt på en ny illustrativ tegning. Med illustrativ mener jeg, at jeg ønsker billedet skal indeholde en historie, selv om den ikke er defineret.
Jeg har længe haft lyst til at tegne mere fantasi-præget, dog ikke fantasy, men historiefortællende billeder, som fx. kunne illustrere en fabel, et eventyr, en børnebog.
Tegningen viser 2 losser, løbende og hoppende i et vinterlandskab om natten.
