On-line drawing tool

As in my previous post these are computerdrawings

I think they are so funny to create - and the speed of drawing!!!

On-line drawing tool

I admit, I never liked the idea of computer-drawings.

But given a link to this site, I had so much fun drawing with the tool.
I find it very great for a kind of free-style drawing. Similar to ink and pen drawing, but of cause, so much faster.

Chameleon III

I have finished the third Chameleon-painting. It is in very bright, intense colors, as you can see.

About the serie:
I like the interaction of delicate graphitestrokes and transparent watercolors.
I hope to please your eyes with the motifs of the mysterious and charming chameleons in an imaginary, adventurous plant- and flowerful setting .

The series are availiable as prints

Chameleon III

The painting is almost finished.
The painting is painted layer by layer, apart from a very few spots with palette-mixed colors.
I just need to layer in a few spots and adjust values ...

Chameleon III

More layers on the painting. Here is a detail look.
In this serie, I want a loose watercolorpainting with graphite-lines showing through.

Chameleon III

I am only just started with the watercolors. So far 1 or 2 layers of thin paint.
This painting are on A3 paper, where the first two in the series, are on A4.

I hope to be able to show more tomorrow.

Chameleon III - preparing

I am planning to do more paintings in my chameleon series.

Here are my first sketches. I draw a smaller drawing freehand. This means I look at ref-photos, but only use my eyes as measure tools.

When I find the composition is okay, I draw the larger drawing freehand on watercolor paper.

I don't scale up my smaller drawing, as I sometimes do with other drawings. That's because in this series, I want the pencilststrokes very autentich and lively. They will be seen in the finished painting too. If you scale up, and redraw line upon line, the strokes will be more static. Fine in many cases, but not here.

Leather and Pearls

Well, finally I can post again.

Work, ordinary life and some illness really took over my time for this past month.

I've been working on this piece "Leather and Pearls" for about 22 hours.

It's a rather small piece; approx. 13 x 18 cm. All colored pencils with the use of zest-it and splender too.
I am not used to doing still-lifes, but wanted to challenge myself. The leather and larger pearls was definitly the funniest part.
I liked the 2 different textures against each other, and I also found a symbolic quality in the motif..
