Weekly review

"Arctic wolf" is this weeks review. A pastelpainting where I wanted to really focus in on the wolfs beautiful face.
A white animal is not the easiest to paint, but I think it worked quite well with this.

Original 16 x 34,5 cm.

It is possible to purchase an artprint of this image here

True Red: Dream

I look forward to once again be on Stiplets Easter Exhibition. A bunch of great people, with equal interest are together, hanging all the artwork, before the public enters at Easter Sunday and Easter Monday.

There is a reception with live music and a little to eat on Saturday.
We take turns taking care of the cafe and entrance, chatting with visitors and has a really nice show, hopefully with many guests.

Easter exhibition 2012 has the theme: True red.
My painting of the theme is this, which I call: Dream.

The painting express feelings of the woman: floating / flowing / weightless, in a non-realistic dream world. And since the theme is True Red, there are various red colors in the image.

Acrylic Painting 40 x 80 cm.

Print of Tundra Kingdom

It is now possible to buy prints of my acrylic painting Tundra Kingdom at my Imagekind shop.

Wildlife. and naturelovers will love this beautiful, colorful painting. Distant rough mountains, the wide vista with moskox' and the arctic wolves, creates a wonderful image of the wilderness of the tundra landscape.

Cozy cats - sunnygrey cat

I just had time for a little progress on my cat-painting, as you see.
I have to leave this for a while, as I am occupied with some other paintings for a show. This one might get with too, but I'll have to see how it goes.

Weekly review

This week is a review of a pastelpainting, title: Ocelot family.

My intention was to create a painting of this small ocelot family from Amazons, showing them in a peaceful scenery, with the kittens waiting for their mother to wake up.
Original size 33x39 cm.

Changes on the blog

I have changed my banner and the description of my blog and homepage are now : "VISUAL STORIES ABOUT WONDERFUL ANIMALS, BEAUTIFUL NATURE AND CAPTIVATING PERSONALITIES"

The content will be expanded;
Untill now I have shown animals only, except for a couple of works including people and nature. In the future the blog will show fine art and realistic illustrative art of whatever motif I render.

I hope you will enjoy this change.

For funny illustrations you can look at Tegneriet and for patterndesign: Images of Imagination.

Weekly review

Graphite drawing of an Oldenburger horse, actually my sisters horse.
Jeg wanted realism and a strong expression.

The original are 18,5 x 24 cm
It was judged into the  EX Arte Equinus II by Art Horse Magazine i 2008.

Busy

If you wonder why I don't present updates of my catpainting, I can tell, it's because I am doing a surface patterndesign course at the moment.
As I don't have many hours a day to be creative, I have to be selective. On my blog Images of Imagination, you can see what I create.
I'll work on the catpainting as soon as possible!

Weekly review

This weeks review is of the watercolor painting "Cactus Hideout".
I saw the motif on a holiday in Turkey, those small, soft kittens hiding among large cactuses. I loved how the sun hit all the interesting shapes of the plant, all the green hues and the contrast of the kittens and cactuses.

The original is27,5 x 54,5 cm.

The image is sold as a print from Imagekind.
