Finally I have some time to work on my drawing of the irish wolfhounds.

I also found a title, as you can see; "Gentle Giants".

I will be on/off here, as I am following a course now, but I do not have any obligations or timelimits to this one, so that is okay.

sorry, I have not been active on my blog lately, but facing some issues with the papillon commission, not knowing what would happen, I haven't had anything else cooking.

I am not the type that can have a lot of unsolved drawings around me at the same time. It disturbs my concentration.

Anyway, I hope to be able to post something new within a week or so.

I have started a new portrait of a papillon. It is in colored pencils and size A4.

Great dogs - amazing artists

I did mention back in 2009, that I was invited and selected ("Black cocker spaniel") for the "Great dogs - amazing artists" book, but I don't think I ever told where to buy it. Here's a link if you are interested.

2.nd place

My painting "He's my Favorite" took 2.nd place from the public votes at Fineart Americas contest "Magical Horse". View

The votes are cast by members of FAA, and the honour is the prize. I am happy the viewers liked my painting, and I liked many of the competitors entries.

Dalmatian - finished

Here is the finished portrait of the dalmatian, Sigurd.

Now I just have to get it mounted and delivered ;)

More progress on Sigurd, the dalmatian.

I have been correcting the highlight on his left eye (our view), as I suspect it was not just the sun reflecting in his eye on the reference photo.
