Natural history illustration

 



En Naturhistorisk tegning (Natural history drawing) skal være et realistisk studie af en blomst, en plante, et dyr eller andet fra den naturens verden.

Her er mit bud på en amaryllis. Jeg har lyst til at tegne flere af disse NH tegninger, hvor detaljen er vigtig. Når først jeg sidder ved tegnebordet, fordybet i studiet, så glemmer jeg tid og sted.

A Natural History drawing must be a realistic study of a flower, a plant, an animal or something else from the world of nature.

Here is my take on an amaryllis. I feel like drawing more of these NH drawings where detail is important. Once I sit at the drawingtable, immersed in the studio, I forget time and place.

Last dance cattails - wip

On wednesdays I join Camilla for a weekly drawing day.
We talk (a lot), drink coffee, eat cake or fruit, and we draw ;)

We sit at Camillas (large) drawingtable, and I work in graphite or ink.

At the moment I am working on a counterpart to my drawing "Au revoir Tournesol", as I want to make a serie. I don't have a serie title yet, but usually they emerged suddenly :)
