I use correct classic tools: shapes, values, colors. 3 dimensional. Exists in the real world.
You can see the artists personal touch - the artwork has an original look or simplied textures etc. Some artists do hyperrealism. I do not see my work as hyper/photorealism, where you cannot see if the art is handmade or a photo.
STILISERET REALISME / STYLISED REALISM:
Realistic, but does not depend on all the classic tools. Simplification or change of textures, contours, change of colors and values to suit the artists desire. Very original look made possible.
Impressionism but approaches expressionism.
ILLUSTRATIVE to FANTASY:
Natural history illustrations are very realistic drawings of animals, plants and landscape. The goal is to observe and record nature for scientific use. But images can be very decorative and become wall-pieces too. Illustration can also be Realism mixed with fantasy. Classic tools are not necessary, but motif still figuratively. Outlines can emphasize patterns, texture as patterns, colors imaginative etc. Very original look is possible.
Composition, colors, shapes and details. My paintings emerges from many brushstrokes, ideas arise, and details are painted on the toplayer. The inspiration can arise from anywhere. Expressionism.
