"Sun Colors" - Male Lion




I took the ref-photo for this painting at a zoo. The male lion had gorgeous yellow and orangebrown colors and I thought he looked so relaxed and peaceful. I made this in pastels. The original is 20 x 20 cm on Ingres paper

    I too love the pose and the softness of the colors. Makes me want to pet him but he would probably take off my arm.
